Meet our sweet siblings, Hank and Seven. 😊 They are both 7 years and 10 months old. Pictured first is Seven, and Hank is pictured second. These boys are looking for their new forever home, whether that is together or on their own. Seven may be a little shy at first, but underneath those cautious first impressions is a gentle little dog who simply wants to be close to his people. If people are available to hand out scratches and kind words, that's where Seven would rather spend his time.😁 New situations can make him a little nervous, and he settled much more comfortably once he was out of the car and in a quiet home. His ideal family will understand that confidence grows with patience, gentle encouragement, and predictable routines. Last Week at Recreation and Parks: 🏀 The Teen League Basketball players put on an incredible performance at the William R. Anderson Center, showing off great teamwork, strong defense, and impressive scoring on the court! 🍴 Our Kids in the Kitchen at Miller Park Community Center mastered kitchen appliances and whipped up tasty meals! Last week, our young chefs took over the kitchen to prepare a delicious lemon chicken pasta with a salad. It was a wonderful way to build confidence while learning to prep and cook a favorite dish from scratch! 🌙 Parents Night Out was a success! Parents were able to have a nice night out while their kids enjoyed a light dinner and played at Miller Park Community Center. Starting today, June 29, the track at Hanes Park is closed for resurfacing and repair work. This closure will not affect the tennis courts as there will still be open access points available. Pending weather conditions, the track is anticipated to reopen around the beginning of the school year.

With feedback from our artist community, we’ve decided to go on a Summer hiatus and return in September once temperatures cool down and the weather becomes more predictable. Keeping our artists and their art safe is our top priority. Besides, we’re sure all y’all are out living your best lives in a body of water on the weekends and we don’t blame ya for it! We’ll see you again just in time for super early holiday shopping. In the meantime, be on the look out for special evening events in The Alley and support local Arts District businesses when you can.
