Formed in Cleveland in 1976, the Dead Boys were one of the first American acts to combine the proto-punk fervor of bands like the Stooges and the New York Dolls with a new level of intense energy. The 1977 debut LP, Young, Loud and Snotty was a landmark album in the birth of hardcore punk and produced one of the first great punk anthems, "Sonic Reducer." After one more album, the band split in 1979. They reunited for a few gigs in the 1980s, but following the death of lead vocalist Stiv Bators in 1990, the band members went their separate ways except for two brief reunions in 2004 and 2005. TODAY at The Ramkat: HuffJam! Come check out HuffJam 2026, the final round of the @americanbmxflatlandleague season, right here at The Ramkat on July 25th, 2026! This event in its fifth year will feature amazing riders from across the country and around the world - from beginner to professional - competing for points and prizes! Flatland is a discipline of Freestyle BMX riding where tricks are performed by spinning and balancing on a 20-inch bike. Riders will have two timed contest runs where they try to pull the most difficult and creative tricks without touching down the ground. Registration for riders begins at 9 AM, and the event will begin at approximately 10 AM. DJ Mark Eaton will be spinning music all day at this family-friendly event, which is free for spectators! Our Digital Dome is full of different kinds of shows, with fan favorites being our Live Planetarium Shows and Musical Laser Matinee programs. We wanted to celebrate what makes our Digital Dome so special, so we threw a party about it! On June 27, last month, we experienced the Kaleideum’s Digital Dome Theater completely FREE with our museum admission or membership! Our Digital Dome staff enjoyed giving you laser light shows, live planetarium tour, family-friendly movies, trivia, Dome Karaoke, and more! In LASTEAM, we had zoetropes, flipbooks, and shadow projectors for you to see, experience, and enjoy. We hope you'll come see the Digital Dome during your visit. Thank you all for coming by!
