What an incredible sight. Marcus, out of his wheelchair, and walking by himself. Marcus has come so far. He started our Project Cornerstone program in 2017 to combat his opioid addiction. He completed the in-house program and not only continued through the journey of substance abuse recovery, but his spiritual and physical recovery as well. His prosthetic leg and rehab has allowed him the ability to drive again and now, take steps on his own. God is Miraculous. Marcus is cel…ebrating 4 years of sobriety. Four years. God is Miraculous. Marcus is currently a student and works at Samaritan part time as a shelter counselor, helping men who are at a point in their lives Marcus was not long ago. As his fellow counselor Donnie says, Marcus is a living example of God’s power. During devotions last night, Marcus led the homeless men staying in the shelter through prayer and scripture. He said of recovery, ‘there are no losers, just slow winners.’ We are so proud of Marcus. Just one more time: God is Miraculous. ❤️
