Oslo Brewing Company, Nordic Pilsner 4.7% – A fresh take on the quintessential Norwegian pilsner. The result is a crisp lager with a smooth balance of floral hops, aromatic malts and a clean finish. This is the taste of Oslo. Japas Cervejaria, Tigresa, Hazy IPA 6% – A beer proudly created by seven Asian Brazilian Women. Tigresa represents a duality: she reminds us with affection of our ancestors and inspires courage to make room for other women, who, like us, have been stereotyped and silenced. In the recipe we bring a common ingredient on our family tables: rice. Tigresa is a surprisingly refreshing and aromatic Hazy Rice IPA, with Citra and Amarillo Double Dry Hopping. Fat Orange Cat, Baby Kittens, Hazy IPA 6.5% – A lovely hazy pale yellow brew with a tiny hint of sweetness on the nose. Up front we find a relaxed medley of fresh citrus, mangos, and pineapple. It finishes with a hint of pine and invigorating grapefruit with just enough bitterness to cleanse your palette and invite you back for another sip. Lost Province, Pink Velvet, Raspberry Wheat 4.8% – This is a pink-colored American wheat beer with raspberries. Moderate alcohol, high carbonation and a slightly tart finish make this a very quaffable session-style fruit ale. Resident Culture, Second Hand Heartbreak Sour Ale 6% – Passionfruit Painkiller-inspired Sour with Passionfruit, Pineapple, Orange, Coconut and Nutmeg. New Wines this Week!! Maison Angelot, Bugey, Mondeuse, France – Deep ruby color, aromas of black cherry, licorice and pepper. A bit deeper than the Gamay, and with a touch more tannin. Suggested Food Pairings: Soft Cheeses Castaño, Monastrell Tinto, Spain – Of a shiny medium intensity red color, it shows clean and bright. It follows a rich fruity nose, loaded with sweet candy aromes. It is not less intense on the palate, the ripe red fruit returns along with some elegant spicy notes. Full-bodied and tasty sweet tannins. Suggested Pairings: Roasted meats, medium cured cheese. Semeli Feast, Moschofilero, Greece – Transparent light yellow colour with golden hues. Intense on the nose, with typical aromas of citrus fruits and roses. Well balanced palate, with mild acidity and smooth finish. Suggested Food Pairings: Roasted Vegetables, Greek Food CRU, Viognier, Paso Robles, CA – With a light straw color, the CRU Viognier opens with lovely aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine and melon. Flavors of pineapple, lime curd and peach are well-balanced and lead into the long, honey finish. Suggested Food Pairings: Shrimp, Pork Chops Mcnab, Zinzilla, Zinfandel, California – The aromas and tastes of ZINZILLA are blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, and dark cherry. This wine gives new meaning to the term “jammy”. ZINZILLA expresses dense layers of berries, chocolate, pepper and spice. This big brooding monster zinfandel may color your teeth but it is very balanced and won’t overpower your palate. With a winemaking legacy dating back thousands of years, Romania boasts a rich viticultural history that rivals the finest in Europe. Romania’s winemaking roots can be traced to the ancient Dacians and Thracians, who cultivated vineyards along the Black Sea coast. Over the centuries, the region has endured the influences of various civilizations, each leaving its mark on the art of winemaking. However, it was the Dacians who planted the first seeds, both literally and metaphorically, of what would become Romania’s thriving wine culture. Modern Romanian winemaking is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. The diverse terroir, featuring sun-drenched hills and cool plateaus, provides an ideal canvas for cultivating a wide range of grape varieties. From the indigenous Fetească Neagră to international favorites like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, Romanian winemakers craft wines that capture the essence of the land. Today, Romanian wines are gaining global recognition for their quality and distinct character. With wineries embracing sustainable practices and cutting-edge techniques, the future of Romanian wine looks as promising as its storied past. So, pour a glass, and let the flavors of Romania’s winemaking legacy transport you through time. Cheers to the timeless elegance of Romanian wine! Did you know Buies Market is on Untappd?
