Sidney has had some amazing adventures since being adopted! “She has visited the Alston House, a revolutionary war site where she absolutely loved running through the fields down to the Deep River and exploring. Her energy is well matched by our children. They run as a pack wide open. She uncovered a snake in her sniffing journey around the perimeter of the property, but it was a harmless black snake and was moved out of her way very quickly! After we left the Alston house, w…e went by Weymouth Woods State Park, and took the trail through the swamp where we learned she is not a fan of water! We made another trip to Jamison Park, where she was able to interact with a few other dogs through the fence. She was vocal, and slightly fixated, but she played on her side of the fence and was fine. She loves “helping me” work on the tractor while she’s on her outdoor run. She seemingly forgets when the kids are on the trampoline that if she goes under it she could get bonked. ???? We are working on her leash skills, I just can’t let her get in the grass and put her nose on the ground while we are on a walk. ???? And thankfully no one in the neighborhood walks cats. We were watching a video at home about blue tick hounds, and the boys wanted to hear one treeing and baying. When I played the video, she jumped up, perked her ears up, went straight into position and started buffing. She had her head tilted left and right and was looking out the window trying to find these other dogs. She got very excited remembering her roots! When she rides with us to go see friends, she’s super friendly. I don’t see how in the world you guys had her that long, waiting for us to adopt her, but we are glad you did! Can I mention how grateful I am that she’s not a puppy and is very well housebroken?!” Love, Mom of 5
