Come out to shop and stay a while to enjoy this EXTRA special performance coming to market tomorrow ✨ Help us welcome – The Versatiles Formed in 1965 with 6 members; eventually growing to 9 members. They were the only band in Winston-Salem at that time to include both black and white musicians. Extremely popular during their heyday, they played country clubs, proms, school events, the Classic Fair, private parties and local entertainment venues around the state. They also played as backup for Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin’s sister when they appeared locally and were finalists on Ted Mack and the Original Amateur Hour. Three of the band’s original members have passed and new members have been added since the group got back together to play and revive their repertoire of music. Currently consisting of nine members. The Versatiles primarily perform a variety of R & B, smooth jazz, beach and pop. And sure to be a good ole time so come on out friends ????
