This year, as part of @coalpitlive we are pleased to welcome…… . GIN BLOSSOMS! . Opening acts include Crenshaw Pentecostal and Clay Howard. Show starts at 6PM. In anticipation of an even larger crowd, we are moving this party across the street to Bailey Park. We will have beer tents slinging beers and food trucks piled on Patterson Avenue (no outside alcohol). . But what’s a brewery anniversary without a special beer release? . ** DOUBLE BOTTLE RELEASE ** . We have carefully blended some remaining black barleywine barrels that have now been aging 19-months with one of our base stouts that has been aged 13-months, both in Weller bourbon barrels. . Spiritus Mundi: Latin, translates as “spirit of the world”. As described by William Butler Yeats, “a universal memory and a ‘muse’ of sorts that provides inspiration” Notes of strong oak tannins with sweet bourbon, dark fruit nose that begins with black cherry and rum raisins and leans into a bakers chocolate that combines for a slight fuginess. Palate continues with dark fruits and molasses soaked in red wine, honey, and toffee; coating and finishes slightly warm. . Spiritus Mundi w/ Coconut & Coffee: Same blend of black barleywine and base stout aged in Weller bourbon barrels, but decided to lean into some of the understated notes and really attempt to push them forward. Conditioned in stainless on toasted, shredded coconut flakes and Counter Culture Coffee. . This is a public release (not an Embers Society reserve), Limit 2pp of each bottle, $20/ea. . Bottle release will begin at 11AM Saturday, September 4th at the taproom. We will also have a couple special draft options available of some beers gone by. .
