I’m really looking forward to my two shows this weekend, Friday at Little Brother Brewing in Greensboro with The Movers and Saturday at The Wine Maestro in Statesville NC with The Low Down Blues Revue. I’ll feature top notch musicians on both shows and play my original music on one and the classic 1950’s Blues I love on the other.

Here’s a throwback to 2007 or so. That’s Bob Margolin on the far left, the incomparable Ms. Helen getting down onstage with some friends, Matt Hill on bass, me on the far right (about to blow my top) and Chuck Cotton (not visible) was playing drums. What a nite, Nappy Brown even dropped by briefly. Ms Helen pushed herself a little too hard on this evening and gave everyone a scare, EMS was called (she was in her 90’s I think). I seem to recall someone telling me that when she came to that the first thing she did was ask a fire fighter if he wanted to dance. She recovered and she was a fantastic lady who is missed. You can’t make this stuff up, let’s party.
