Since 2014, Femfest NC has hosted this annual festival to raise funds for Family Services through the empowerment of women-centric musical performances, while advocating against domestic violence and sexual assault. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Emergency Shelter of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County to fund the care, support, and programming… needs for survivors and their families. For the 10th anniversary of Femfest, the locally beloved and powerful, live-performance-driven band Jews and Catholics will reunite, featuring special guest drummer Dane Walters. Bands taking the stage hail from as far as Athens, Georgia, where the art-rock duo Monsoon originates while Flower in Bloom’s neo-soul, r & b sound represents a slice of the current Triad music scene. Femfest Alumni BANGZZ bring their feral, punk sounds back from Durham for another year.
