Friends & Supporters, we are asking you to lend our staff a patient paw in the month of January. Staff response times may be slower than normal due to the increase of COVID-19 positive staff and inclement winter weather. Like many businesses and organizations, Forsyth Humane Society is experiencing the nation-wide staff storage. We also have an increasing amount of staff on sick leave from testing COVID-19+. Our organization views health and safety as a high priority and we a…re requiring COVID+ staff to stay home, rest, and recover. Caring for our shelter dogs and cats always comes first in our agency and we will do our best to respond to your questions, applications, and inquires as quickly as possible. If we do not respond immediately, please know that means we are caring for our cats and dogs and we will respond when we are available. Thank you for your patient paw and kindness to our hardworking and passionate animal welfare staff. Together, we can #SAVEFURSYTH! Winter Weather Tips: Please bring outdoor animals inside your home, garage, or provide access to a warm outdoor shelter with plenty of insulation during the winter storm or when winter temperatures drop. FHS does not have the authority to seize animals in the field or respond to welfare reports. If you would like to report an animal in distress or make a welfare report, you can contact Forsyth County Animal Services at 336-727-2112. Our Intake Facility will be closed Monday, January 17th. If you take action with a stray animal and want to surrender the animal to our care, we will not be open until Tuesday, January 18th until 2pm.
